why are the teabaggers claiming that healthcare reform is not what the voters want?
Healthcare Reform is what obama ran on. he won in what can only be called a landslide. just because the teabaggers happen to be voters who don’t want it why can’t those idiotic capitalists see that the winners of our democratic election want it NOW!!!
You’re misrepresenting what the Tea Party is all about. And it’s not necessarily the Tea Party protesters who are against what is CURRENTLY being proposed for health care reform. Yes, Obama ran on health care reform… which is fine… I’m all for REFORM too. But that doesn’t mean voters wanted a total tearing down of the system and creation of a new one. Obama is trying to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The voters will NOT put up with that.
Sorry but Obama did not run on government run health-care. He ran as a moderate and those not paying attention bought into it. Slash and burn is far different than reform..

Because its true.
Not everyone is looking for a free ride like you are.
You need to look up the definition by a landslide. Mccain got 46% of the vote.

1) Only a mindless idiot would call the last election a landslide. If you want to see what a real landslide looks like, you need to go back to carter-reagan.
2) The VAST majority of Americans do NOT want Obamacare. And they’ve let their elected representatives know it.
We don’t want Obamacare now, and we don’t want it EVER!

The TEA parties do want reform TORT REFORM.
Tort reform would make insurance companies competative making health care affordable. Allowing coverage to continue even if it is a pre-existing condition.
The reason you don’t hear your "Leaders" mentioning tort reform is due to trial lawyers.
Look at how many people in Congress and that were Presidential Candidates were trial lawyers at one point (John Edwards). 95% of trial lawyers donate to the Democratic Party. Tort reform would reduce frivalous malpractice suits and class action lawsuits.
Last week (maybe two weeks ago now) Howard Dean was asked why isn’t tort reform being looked at first instead of going right to the public option.
He was obviously uncomfortable and came up with a choked up answer of "Well you know you can’t just put everything in a bill…"
Now we all know that Congress does everything they can to add all sorts of items to bills. That’s why it’s called pork and that is why it was a hot item during the campaign.
Howard Dean lied to the public when he said that and he represents the party you are towing the line for.
This should make you even more pleased. I am the Director of Communications for my local TEA Party. We have had a surge of independants (that won the election for Obama) coming our way in massive numbers and now we are seeing some democrats as well.
So good luck with the next election 2012. Good luck with your party keeping control of Congress in 2010.
